DIRECTOR Simone Grudzen
Simone Grudzen studied film at USC and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Film and Television Production. Simone has worked as a director, cameraperson and editor in San Francisco for over 8 years. Her camerawork appeared in the feature-length documentary, ‘The Bridge’ (2006), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Simone also directed the Ex-Boyfriend’s music video ‘Situation’ (2008) which recently broadcast premiered on LOGO Television. A professional musician, Simone wrote and performed the original soundtrack to Immaculate Confession. The film is a collaboration between Simone and her sister, Corita, the film’s producer. This is Simone’s first feature-length film.
PRODUCER Corita Grudzen
Corita Grudzen, MD graduated from Stanford University in 1995 then went on to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. She took a year off during her medical studies to co-create Immaculate Confession with her sister, Simone. She then completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Bellevue Hospital in New York City and went on to spend three years as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles, a fellowship in health policy where she focused on media and qualitative research methods to improve health. She is now an Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai where she continues to practice in the ER, though she spends most of her time conducting research using media to try to improve health in a broad sense and to change health policy.

Jen Gillaspy is a television and film editor in Los Angeles, CA. She recently worked on Werner Herzog’s ‘Rescue Dawn’ (2007) and is currently lead editor on the popular television show ‘Moment of Truth’ (2008).

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER June Shelley
A highly experienced consultant for television and films, June Shelley recently served as Head of Sales & Marketing for RKO Pictures. Ms. Shelley rejoined RKO in 1995 after a stint at Moviecorp Holdings as Vice President, Sales & Marketing where she was responsible for all domestic and international sales and marketing. During her previous stay at RKO Pictures, Shelley supervised the international sales and marketing efforts for current RKO development projects and represented the company at AFM, Cannes, Mifed and the Shanghai Film Festival. Before joining ABC Distribution, Shelley lived in France, where she worked as Head of Protocal for MIP-TV, Midem and Vidcom and ran her own consulting firm specializing in music and film clients. She was a consulting producer and appears in the 2000 Sundance prize winning documentary “The Ballad of Ramblin’ Jack”.

Bunny Tavares’ career includes nine years as a program marketing executive at the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and two years as a national account executive for BBC Worldwide. Her work includes program and project development, project management, contract negotiation, promotion, events, distribution, outreach/community engagement services and station relations. Ms. Tavares’ clients include media organizations, not-for-profit organizations, independent producers, PBS and its member stations and national television production and distribution companies.
